Doctors May Be Overtreating Or Overtesting

While patients at risk for disease benefit from screening  for early detection, others may not.

Cancer, for example is a disease that can be cured or treated if detected in time. This means screening for cancer cells before it is too late.

 Doctors in the  USA; however,   have been criticized for unnecessary procedures and testing.

There  has to be balance,  this balance is possible with  patient health education and with the patient taking control and responsibility.

Risks Of Stroke Lower In Women Who Walk

If you are a women who walks regularly you lower your risk of developing strokes. According to a report, they have a  37% lower risk than those who don’t.

Women who said they walked at least 2 hours per week at any pace had a 30%  lower risk.

Walking is a physical activity recommended to reduce risks for many diseases  in both sexes and at any age.

Children Died In China Of Infectious Diseases

Forty children died in China from outbreaks of infectious diseases affecting the hand, foot and mouth.

 Their Ministry of Health reported 77, 756 cases  in March.

Chinese leaders are calling to step up research into vaccines and drugs to fight the outbreaks.
