More Canadians are turning to online sites for health information, according to a CBC survey.
Although they may feel overwhelmed with too much information, the confidence is growing.
- 41% turn to online sites centered around a specific disease, medical issue or product.
- 9% visit online communities, chat rooms or support groups
- 67% of the time they trust the information they are getting
- Women are more likely to go online for health advice
The survey was done using an online panel. Particpants were 1,514 english speaking Canadains.
