Passengers Exposed To Tuberculosis in Canada

A passenger travelling  in  Canada,  from Alberta  to British Columbia  with active tuberculosis on May 24 has public health officials worried.  They want to get this information out to the public as soon possible.

The bus made several stops  between the two provinces,  and several people were getting on and off the bus.

Tuberculosis is a contagious disease that can be picked up from the infected person through air droplets.  Those particularly at risk are those with existing  HIV infection, to these persons it can be a deadly disease.
