Swine flu a mix of the human, the pig and the bird flu viruses has spread to California and Texas. The influenza type flu took the lives of 81 people in Mexico before spreading to other parts.
2,000 calls came through a hot line within hours, from city residents claiming they may have the disease.
They fear a pandemic as the deadly influenza spreads to other countries
